How to Switch Internet Access Providers

     We've created this page to make switching to Pittsburgh Connect even faster and easier, so you can start enjoying our award-winning service and support and cancel your existing service with your other ISP.

Switching Tips and Guidelines

1. Make sure that you have set up your Pittsburgh Connect account before canceling your old service, and that you notify your friends and family of your new Pittsburgh Connect e-mail address.

2. The fastest and most common way to cancel your account is by phone. Below is a list of some popular Internet service providers and their contact information for subscriber cancellation.

     When you contact your provider to cancel your account, be sure to have the following information handy:

                    User-name (e-mail address)
                    Password
                    Mailing address and/or phone number
                    Credit card number that the service is billed to

     If your provider is not listed here, please contact its customer service department for help with canceling your account.

America Online (AOL)

How to cancel: Members can cancel over the phone, online, or by fax.
